On December 11, student representatives of the Secondary Section attended a seminar on “International Landscape and China’s Foreign Relations” organized by The Hong Kong Institute for Promotion of Chinese Culture. The seminar was delivered by Mr. Wu Hongbo, a veteran diplomat, who used to serve as the China’s Chief Representative of Sino-British Joint Liaison, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs, and now the Special Representative of the Chinese Government on European Affairs of the country in recent years. Apart from giving introduction on the development of China’s diplomacy, Mr. Wu also encouraged students to be ambitious and insist on self-directed learning for seeking more knowledge, while students were deeply impressed.
