Eligibility for Admission
- Satisfactory academic results in P5 & P6 (with Grade B or above in Chinese, English, Mathematics, and General Studies).
- • Good Conduct (Grade B or above).
- Priority will be given to students who are outstanding in sports, activities, or community service or have other achievements.
Selection Criteria
In the course of the S1 Discretionary Places Application period :
- Interview performance 34%
- EDB rank order 24%
- Academic results at primary school 20%
- Extra-curricular activities achievements (music, art, sports, service etc.) 10%
- Conduct performance in primary school 12%
Before or after the S1 Discretionary Places Application period :
- Interview performance 46 %
- Academic results at primary school 32 %
- Extra-curricular activities achievements (music, art, sports, service etc.) 10%
- Conduct performance in primary school 12%
Application Dates and Procedure
There are 3 methods for admission:
Method 1: Apply during the Discretionary Places (DP) Application period
Method 2: Through Central Allocation (CA)
Method 3: Apply on or after the release of DP and CA results
For Methods 1 and 3, please submit your application for admission. A recent photo of the student should be affixed to the application form, together with:
- Copy of student’s identity document (identity card, or passport);
- Copy of S1 Allocation Slip issued by the EDB through the primary school (applicable to applications submitted on or after the DP and CA results release day );
- Copies of P5 & P6 academic results; and
- Copies of attendance / merit certificates for extra-curricular or community service activities.
Application forms can be obtained in person at our school or downloaded from our homepage. Please also produce the following documents at the interview :
- Original student’s identity document (identity card, or passport);
- Original S1 Allocation Slip issued by the EDB through the primary school (applicable to applications submitted on or after the DP and CA results release day );
- Original P5 & P6 academic results; and
- Original attendance / merit certificates for extra-curricular or community service activities.
Interview Dates and Time
Applicable for Admission through Methods 1 & 3 Only:
- Eligible students who meet the entrance requirement and can produce or submit the requested documents as aforesaid in between the DP and CA results release day and S1 registration day will be granted an interview usually on the same day, while parents are also required to accompany their child for the interview.
- For applications submitted on or after the S1 registration day, interviews will be granted at our own discretion.
Result Release Date
Applicable for Admission through Method 1:
Successful applicants will be notified by letter and phone on March 27, 2024 (Wednesday). Reserve and unsuccessful applicants will not receive any notification.
Applicable for Admission through Methods 1 & 2:
Results will be released by Education Bureau on July 9, 2024
Applicable for Admission through Method 3:
Successful applicants will be notified of offer details by phone individually, while no further notice will be given to unsuccessful applicants.
