A cultural and arts exchange activity to Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Foshan and Guangzhou in the Greater Bay Area during the period from March 27 to 29 were arranged for some Music or Visual Arts student representatives of the Secondary Section. Teachers and students visited the Lingnan cultural landmarks such as Kaiping Diaolou, Chikan Ancient Town, Gulou Waterfront, Ancestral Temple in Foshan, having dialogue and exchange with local cultural experts and young people in the industry to explore the preservation and revitalization of cultural heritage, as well as the roles of young people in arts innovation and cultural heritage.
The activity schedule covered a wide range of arts experiences, including Wing Chun Kung Fu, ink painting and calligraphy, Cantonese Opera and Nanyin, which enabled participants to deepen their knowledge of Lingnan arts. In addition, participants also paid a visit to the Former Residence of Sun Yat-Sen and South China Normal University for a deeper understanding of the history, culture and educational development of Lingnan. Through a variety of site visits and in-depth exchanges, students were able to enhance their cultural literacy, historical awareness and cross-regional collaboration skills.
