Paper Crafting Workshop in Celebration of the Tam Kung Festival

To celebrate the Tam Kung Festival @ Eastern District 2025 every year on the eighth day of the fourth lunar month, diverse activities including a variety show, Cantonese opera, a parade with lion and dragon dances, and an international lion dance competition will be held. Additionally, two special activities have been added this year: guided tours and paper crafting workshops.

To tie in with the Culture Module in the subject of History in Hong Kong, 30 S4 students taking History took part in a in celebration of the Tam Kung Festival on April 29, where they learnt the four major steps in paper crafting include binding, paper-mounting, painting and adorning, to make a theme lantern with bamboo and write down blessings on it, and hung the lantern on the Panda Wishing Tree at the end, in order to promote and pass on the ICH techniques.
