The 2026 DSE results remained steady and promising, with an overall passing rate of 89.9%.
The top 7 students include CHOW CHI SUN, CHAO TSZ KIU, NG CHEUK WING, DENG JIANDA, WONG SAM YI, NG FONG YUK, and CHANG HOI YUEN. Notably, through-train school student CHOW CHI SUN scored an impressive 36 points, achieving Level 5* in Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Among the subjects taken, those with over 30% of candidates attaining Level 4 or above include History (43.5%), Economics (42.9%), Chemistry (38.9%), Physics (38.2%), Chinese History (33.3%), Mathematics (32.7%), and M2 (32%).
Of the 13 subjects taken, 11 recorded 2+ rates above the territory-wide average. A perfect 100% passing rate (Level 2 or above) was achieved in Economics, History, and Visual Arts, alongside a 100% ‘Attained’ rate in Citizenship and Social Development. Subjects with Level 2 or above rates exceeding 90% include Biology (96.3%), Business, Accounting and Financial Studies (96%), Geography (95.2%), Chinese History (93.3%), Tourism and Hospitality Studies (91.7%), and Mathematics (90.3%).
Meanwhile, English Language and Chinese Language registered passing rates of 88.5% and 86.7%, respectively with seven students clinching Level 5* or above in Chinese Language.
